The color is weird because I wasn’t allowed to use the fancy markers and the fancy pencils are nowhere to be found, so I used the boy’s colored pencils. I don’t think it takes away from the message though. Clearly you can see from the image that the boy got new shoes.

Clearly it’s a finger gun. What kind of sneaky super spy would he be without a weapon? The other hand is just clutching because he’s excited.

I saw the finger gun right away. It tells me he’s not happy with the new shoes.

He was stoked about the new shoes. I was trying to capture his look of being so lost in imagination that it starts spilling back into real life.
